Writing Playlist
A huge part of my writing process is playing the right music in my headphones at all times, so here’s a list of the top few songs I listened to while writing To Rule the World:
- “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay
- “Empire Now” by Hozier
- “City on a Hill” by Mon Rovîa
- “Courage to Change” by Sia
- “Imagine” by John Lennon
Fun Facts
- The setting of To Rule the World was heavily inspired by my summer 2023 trip to Sedona, AZ. I remember looking around at the rock formations, feeling the desert wind, seeing the stars in the night sky, and thinking, I need to write a book about this.
- To Rule the World came after a long, painful period of having absolutely zero book ideas. It was my victory in the war against writers’ block and my entry into… well, multiple fictional wars, but at least I was writing.
