Hey! I’m Leila
…and I’m kind of a nerd. From the time I was a baby, crawling from letter to letter on a colorful foam mat, to the way I’m always plotting a new story to write, I’ve been a bookworm all my life.
So, naturally, nerds do nerdy things and one thing led to another and now I’m writing a bio for my author website. I will say, I prefer writing fantasy.

If you really want to know about ME, here are some important things:
- I’m seventeen years old.
- My birthday is March 13.
- My favorite color is light green.
- My favorite song is “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay.
- My MBTI type is ENTP.
- I’m half Persian (dad’s side) and half Armenian (mom’s side).
- I have a twelve year old brother named Edward.
- I’m on my school’s Mock Trial team and I absolutely LOVE arguing.
- I’m a junior at Anderson W. Clark Magnet High School.
- I like to yap. A lot. Obviously.

You probably skipped over the above section, though, so here are some more authorly facts about me:
- My first “book” was called The Fox and the Wolf. I wrote it at seven years old, hand illustrated it, and my first-grade teacher read it out loud to our class.
- My first published book is The Brightening.
- In sixth grade, I was known as the storyteller of my class. I would write stories using every set of vocabulary words, up to 12 pages long sometimes, and read them to the class.
- My favorite genre to read and write is fantasy, especially when it comes with a touch of allegory.
- My favorite book is William Saroyan’s The Human Comedy. One specific line really stuck with me: “I do not recognize any enemy which is human, for no human being can be my enemy.”
- Current projects: working on something new…
